Kinesiology is a holistic, complementary wellbeing practice that brings together muscle monitoring, body awareness and a range of gentle techniques to explore stress and support balance.
At Sidonie, sessions are tailored to you as an individual, creating space to reconnect with yourself and explore what may be contributing to feelings of stress, overwhelm or imbalance.
-
We begin with a conversation about how you're feeling, what you'd like support with and any goals or concerns you may have.
From there, muscle monitoring helps guide the session, alongside techniques that may include acupressure, gentle bodywork, emotional awareness, movement and other supportive approaches.
Every session is individualised, and you're welcome to ask questions throughout.
-
Muscle monitoring involves applying gentle pressure to a muscle and observing its response. Kinesiologists use this as a way of guiding their choice of techniques and exploring patterns within a session.
Muscle monitoring is not a medical diagnostic test and cannot reliably identify diseases, allergies or nutritional deficiencies.
-
People often explore kinesiology when experiencing stress, emotional overwhelm, life transitions, difficulty relaxing or a general feeling of being disconnected from themselves.
Others simply appreciate having dedicated time to pause, reflect and support their wellbeing.
Kinesiology is a complementary approach, and individual experiences vary.
-
That's absolutely okay.
You don't need to arrive with a clearly defined goal or have everything figured out. Sometimes all you know is that something feels out of balance or that you'd like a little more clarity and ease in your life.
We can begin wherever you are.
-
Comfort is key. All sessions are conducted fully clothed, so please wear something you feel relaxed and comfortable moving in.
Pants or shorts are generally preferable, as some techniques may involve gentle movement or working with the legs.
-
Everyone is different, and there's no set number of sessions.
Some people book a session to explore a particular concern, while others appreciate ongoing support as their needs and circumstances change.
We can discuss what feels appropriate for you, without any obligation to book further appointments.
-
Experiences vary. Some clients describe feeling relaxed, refreshed or more aware of their emotions, while others notice little immediate change.
You may prefer to allow some quiet time afterwards to reflect on your experience.
There's no particular response you need to have, and results cannot be guaranteed. If you experience concerning or persistent symptoms, please seek advice from an appropriate healthcare professional.
-
Yes! At Sidonie, there are two different ways to experience kinesiology without visiting the clinic.
Live Online Kinesiology Sessions
These take place in real time via video call. We work together throughout the appointment, just as we would during an in-person consultation, with techniques adapted to suit the online setting.
Specialised Remote Kinesiology Sessions
These are completed independently, without a live video call or the need to be available at a particular appointment time.
After receiving your details and information about what you'd like support with, I complete the session remotely and provide a written report sharing the session's insights and personalised suggestions.
Remote sessions are generally completed within 24–72 hours after all required information has been received.

es. Sidonie offers kinesiology sessions for children under 15, with the approach adapted to their age, comfort and individual needs.
Specialised remote sessions are also available for animals, offering a way to explore their wellbeing alongside appropriate veterinary care.
For children, parent or guardian consent is required. Remote animal sessions require the consent of the animal's owner or authorised carer.
-
No. Although a session may include gentle bodywork, kinesiology is not a massage treatment.
Kinesiology may also involve discussing emotions and life experiences, but it isn't a replacement for counselling, psychological therapy or other qualified mental health care.
-
No. Kinesiology is a complementary wellbeing practice and does not diagnose, treat or cure medical conditions.
It can be used alongside conventional healthcare, but it should never replace medical assessment, prescribed treatment or professional advice.
-
